Phoenix's west side is still primarily used for farming, but the land is relatively cheap, so developers are replacing the fields with housing tracts. Farming relics like these grain silos are being crowded out of existence, and eventually, replaced with new homes and strip malls.

Once you could see a grain elevator in the prairies every few miles / km, but now they are rare. This one in Balcarres was for sale at the time. 

The last wooden elevator in Indian Head Saskatchewan...  Back in the early 1900's there used to be 12  Elevators and a flower mill in town... this last elevator owned by Paterson Grain was demolished in 2019.
